Are there holes in the Earth?
I have been researching some of the rantings on the Hollow Earth Theory of various Occult members from the early 20th century CE for a project- I approached it the idea with great skepticism but as I was looking through notes and comparing hand drawn maps with Google maps I came across some very confusing mysterious. One example is that I found that the majority of Greenland and Arctic islands (especially north of Russia - see Ostrov) have been blotted out, and the zoom option changes so that you cannot zoom in close in the most unusual areas. I also possess a few copies of Pre-Columbian maps made on animal skin which clearly depict the coasts of Antarctica and the Americas. Of course the map does portray some mysticism as it also depicts sea monsters in various areas near the Bahamas, Japan, Antarctica, and the Arctic Circle. Also, the maps depict opening into the Earth in Northern Canada, Greenland, Antarctica, various islands throughout the Arctic, and several land masses that I do not recognize from any other empirical map.
