Mixes for Tullamore Dew?

9 out of 10 times I will drink my Irish whiskey with soda water. Ginger ale is nice when I feel like splurging on my sugar intake. It's also what my Irish father in law drinks. I VERY HIGHLY recommend a good quality ginger ale like Fever Tree. Canadian Dry is crap. Outside of that, all of my other suggestions include the addition of more alcohol...like an old fashioned with Tullamore Dew instead of bourbon or rye, with a splash of Grand Marnier. Called a Dubliner and is very good.
